(NYSE: MOGA), a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision control systems for the aerospace, defense, industrial and other markets, has acquired CSA Engineering, Inc. a designer and manufacturer of vibration suppression, precision motion control and noise control systems for the aerospace and defense markets. CSA Engineering systems are used in mission critical applications aboard the space shuttle, numerous satellites and space launch vehicles, defense missles, unmanned aerial vehicles and other aerospace platforms and programs.

Karl Mayer acquires the technology and market rights of Ira L. Griffin Sons
January 2008

KARL MAYER Textile Maschinenfabrik GmbH, the world’s leading manufacturer of warp knitting machinery, warp preparation systems and stitch bonding machinery, has acquired all technology and market rights of Ira L. Griffin Sons, Inc. (“ILGS”). ILGS is a leading manufacturer of innovative warp preparation machinery for the global textile market. The Company’s warp preparation product lines include sizing machinery and denim preparation machinery such as ball warpers and long chain beamers.

Founded in 1948, ILSG equipment has been an essential element in the manufacturing process of various textiles for over 50 years. The Company has an installed base of over 400 textile machines worldwide.

Vmetro acquires Micro Memory
August 2007

Vmetro (Oslo Exhchange:VME.OL) has acquired Micro Memory, LLC (“Micro”) a leading provider of board-level products for Real Time Embedded Systems and Enterprise Network Storage. The Company's dense board designs are combined with robust, preconfigured FPGA IP to satisfy demanding signal processing applications for Aerospace and Defense Primes and leading OEMs. The Umem line of NVRAM products are high performance, random access storage devices for server and storage appliance providers.

Pursuant to the terms of the agreement, Vmetro acquired all outstanding shares of Micro Memory in a cash and stock transaction valued at $16.3 million.

Circor Aerospace Products acquires Survival Engineering Inc.
July 2007

Circor Aerospace Products, a division of Circor International, Inc. (NYSE:CIR) has acquired the business of Survival Engineering Inc. (SEI) of Hudson, Wisconsin. The SEI business will be consolidated into the Ronkonkoma, New York based Aerodyne Controls unit of Circor Aerospace Products. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Circor Aerospace Products is a leader in the design, manufacture and testing of complex aerospace and defense fluid controls, control and actuation systems and integrated landing gear assemblies. Circor Aerospace Products operates in North America and Europe through its Circle Seal Controls, Aerodyne Controls, Industria and Loud Engineering & Manufacturing business units. Circor Aerospace Products group is headquartered in Corona, California.

SEI, founded in 1991, is a leader in the design and manufacture of high quality pneumatic controls and inflation systems for the aerospace, marine, defense and industrial inflatables and life raft markets. SEI products can be found on marine and aviation life rafts and evacuation systems for commercial and military applications.

Commenting on the transaction, Chris Celtruda, Group Vice President of Circor Aerospace Products, stated: “The SEI business is a natural fit for our Aerodyne Controls unit which already provides specialized pneumatic solutions for the inflation market. The addition of SEI provides strong complementary technology that will allow us to continue to enhance our pneumatic systems product offerings for our core aerospace and defense customers.”

Circor International, headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, is a publicly traded leading provider of valves and fluid control products for the aerospace, instrumentation, thermal fluid and energy markets.

Roper Industries acquires Dynamic Instruments, Inc.
July 2007

Roper Industries (NYSE:ROP) has acquired Dynamic Instruments, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, Hardy Instruments, Inc. for total cash consideration of $31 million. Dynamic Instruments and Hardy Instruments will be consolidated as business units of the Energy Systems and Controls division of Roper Industries.

Dynamic Instruments, founded in 1984, is a leading designer and manufacturer of vibration analysis and calibration equipment for defense aircraft and digital voice recording systems and software for the defense, homeland security, public safety and other markets. Hardy Instruments is a leading manufacturer of sophisticated measurement, process control, automation and analysis systems in the areas of process weighing, tension control and vibration monitoring. The company’s products are used in a variety of manufacturing applications and markets including chemical, industrial, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, oil & gas, pulp & paper and mining. Hardy offers a full suite of process control products and including process control modules, sensors, transmitters, and scales for a variety of applications such as mixing, blending, filling, dispensing, check weighing, rate control, monitoring, level by weight and force measurement.

Commenting on the transaction, Brian Jellison, Chairman, President and CEO of Roper, stated: “The addition of Dynamic and Hardy Instruments expands solution capabilities in our protective technology businesses.”

Roper Industries, headquartered in Duluth, Georgia, is a publicly traded designer and manufacturer of energy systems and controls, scientific and industrial imaging products and software, industrial technology products, and radio frequency products and services for applications in the water, energy, research, medical and general industries.

Precision Engine Controls Corporation acquired by Hamilton Sunstrand

PECC is a leading designer and manufacturer of valves, electric actuators, metering valves and control systems for use in gas turbine engines and systems for the energy, oil & gas, marine and defense markets.
